Leadership & Values in Language Education
Introduction
The
Moroccan Association of Teachers of English will hold its 27th
Annual National Conference in Bouznika from 02 to 05 April, 2007.
The
Conference will feature international experiences and case studies that have
proved to be successful.
MATE will publish the
presented
papers as part of the conference
proceedings. These proceedings will also be distributed on CD ROM on site by
the end of the conference.
The
Conference will focus on the possible different effective and constructive
aspects and relationships that may exist among leadership, values and language
education. Presentations and workshops will target several aspects of the
conference theme such as:

Culture, leadership and values in education

Leadership and values in human development

Professional values in language education

Teacher Training towards effective leadership
and values

The teacher as leader

The learner as leader
-
Leadership and values in standards/
competency-based
education

Leadership and values in textbooks
The participants will be hosted in Complexe Moulay Rachid in Bouznika.

Bouznika is a small tourist city on the Atlantic coast, not very far from Rabat
(the capital of Morocco) and Casablanca (the biggest Moroccan city),
about 45 km from both cities.
Access to Bouznika is very easy by train (30 minutes max.).
There is a train in the airport that can take people coming by plane to Bouznika (30 minutes ride).
The conference will be held in the same place where the participants will be hosted.

Registration will be carried out on site on 2 April, 2007 from 15:00 to 18:00.
